Ingredients
  

Margarita Base
  • 6 oz tequila preferably blanco
  • 2 oz orange liqueur such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 2 oz fresh lime juice about 2 limes
  • 1 oz agave syrup adjust to taste
Spice Mix
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
Garnish
  • 4 slices lime for garnish
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary for garnish
  • 1 cup coarse sea salt for rimming glasses

Method
 

Prepare the Glasses
  1. Rim the margarita glasses with lime juice and dip them into coarse sea salt to coat the rims.
Mix the Ingredients
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and the spice mix.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Serve
  1. Strain the mixture into the prepared margarita glasses filled with ice.
  2. Garnish each drink with a lime slice and a sprig of fresh rosemary.

Notes
