Prepare Dry Ingredients

Cream Butter and Sugars
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
- Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Combine Mixtures
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Chill Dough
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
Preheat Oven
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake Cookies
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
Cool and Serve
