Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Mushroom Sauce
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Asiago cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste

Method
 

Cook Chicken
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Cover the chicken with aluminum foil to keep warm.
Prepare Mushroom Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic and dried thyme, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
  1. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the mushroom sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  2. Serve the chicken on plates, drizzled with the mushroom Asiago sauce.
