Cook Chicken
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Cover the chicken with aluminum foil to keep warm.
Prepare Mushroom Sauce
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and dried thyme, cooking for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Asiago cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, spooning the mushroom sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the chicken on plates, drizzled with the mushroom Asiago sauce.
