Million Dollar Ravioli Lasagna

A decadent layered dish combining cheese-filled ravioli with rich marinara sauce and creamy ricotta, topped with mozzarella and baked to perfection.

Ingredients
  

Ravioli Layer
  • 12 oz cheese ravioli fresh or frozen
Sauce Layer
  • 2 cups marinara sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese whole milk recommended
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Ravioli
  1. Cook the ravioli according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Make the Sauce Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
Assemble the Lasagna
  1. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Layer half of the cooked ravioli over the sauce.
  3. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli, followed by a layer of marinara sauce and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, marinara sauce, and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake the Lasagna
  1. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  3. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking. Just add an extra 10-15 minutes to the baking time if baking from cold.
