Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups water filtered
  • 4 teaspoons green tea leaves or 4 tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
Flavoring
  • 1 cup orange juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 orange sliced for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons honey or to taste
Serving
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Method
 

Prepare the Tea
  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a teapot.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the green tea leaves and grated ginger.
  3. Steep for 5 minutes, then strain the tea into a pitcher.
Mix and Chill
  1. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice and honey to the tea, stirring until the honey is dissolved.
  2. Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Serve
  1. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.
  2. Garnish with orange slices and serve immediately.

Notes

For a stronger ginger flavor, increase the amount of grated ginger. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
