Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Broccoli
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for cooking
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium recommended
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 1 tablespoon water for cornstarch slurry

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. If using cornstarch, mix it with water in a small bowl until smooth, then add to the honey mixture.
Cook Broccoli
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add broccoli florets and sauté for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Cook Shrimp
  1. Push the broccoli to one side of the skillet and add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and broccoli, stirring to coat evenly.
  2. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.

Notes
