  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 2 tablespoons water to mix with cornstarch if using

  • 4 cups cooked rice for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch mixed with water if using. Stir until well combined.
  2. Set the sauce aside.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Add Broccoli
  1. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
Combine with Sauce
  1. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve
  1. Serve the honey garlic ground beef and broccoli over cooked rice.
