Preparation
- Pat the chicken pieces dry with a paper towel. In a large bowl, combine the chopped chicken with cornstarch, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large heavy-duty pan over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, olive oil, honey, lemon juice, soy sauce, and hot sauce or sriracha until well combined.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken in the pan. Continue cooking for an additional 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and coats the chicken pieces thoroughly.
- Remove from heat and serve the honey garlic chicken bites immediately over steamed rice, pasta, or with your choice of vegetables.
