Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Filling
  • 1 cup jam your choice of flavor, e.g., raspberry or strawberry
Topping
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape and Fill
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet, creating dimples with your fingers.
  3. Fill a piping bag with jam and pipe small amounts into the dimples of the dough.
  4. Let the dough rest for another 15 minutes.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  3. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
