Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix any brand
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
Peanut Butter Layer
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese softened
Chocolate Sauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Make the Peanut Butter Layer
  1. In a separate bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened cream cheese until well combined.
  2. Once the cake is baked and cooled slightly, spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the top.
Prepare the Chocolate Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  3. Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the peanut butter layer.
Serve
  1. Allow the cake to set for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
