Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup almond flour finely ground
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1/2 cup protein powder chocolate flavored
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder gluten-free
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Oven and Pan
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan with coconut oil.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and whisk until well combined.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, honey, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fill the Donut Pan
  1. Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake the Donuts
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
