Ingredients
  

For the Beef
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 for best flavor
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
For the Hot Honey Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
For Serving
  • 2 cups cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Rice
  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions in a rice cooker.
  2. Once cooked, set aside and keep warm.
Cook the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-10 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
Make the Hot Honey Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, hot sauce, and soy sauce.
  2. Mix well until combined.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the hot honey sauce over the cooked beef and stir to combine.
  2. To serve, place a scoop of rice in a bowl, top with the hot honey beef, and add steamed broccoli if desired.
  3. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
