Ingredients
  

Greek Chicken Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs preferably whole wheat
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for baking
Homemade Tzatziki
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 medium cucumber grated and drained
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Meatballs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, feta cheese, egg, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined, then form into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and golden brown.
Make the Tzatziki
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Stir until well mixed and adjust seasoning to taste.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Serve
  1. Serve the meatballs warm with a side of tzatziki for dipping.
  2. Garnish with additional dill or parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use ground turkey instead of chicken.
