Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk or as needed
Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Flour
  1. Heat-treat the flour by spreading it on a baking sheet and baking at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let it cool.
Mix Wet Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Add the vanilla extract and milk to the wet mixture, then gradually mix in the heat-treated flour and baking soda until combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
  1. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes to firm up slightly, then serve and enjoy!
