Method
- Remove the stems from the strawberries and freeze them if they are not already frozen.
- Combine all ingredients (strawberries, sugar, lemon juice or zest, and optional salt) in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
- If using a regular blender, allow the frozen berries to thaw slightly, then blend until combined.
- Transfer the mixture to an ice cream machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Serve immediately for a softer texture or transfer to a container and freeze for 1-2 hours for a firmer consistency.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.
