  • 170 grams mushrooms (sliced)
  • 75 grams onions (sliced)
  • 0.5 tablespoon garlic (chopped)
  • 0.25 cup spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (or any other hot sauce)
  • 0.5 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 packs maggi or ramen noodles (uncooked & discard the spice pack)
  • 3 cups water
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a pan, heat 1 tbsp oil over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sliced onions, sautéing for a few minutes until onions are lightly cooked and the garlic releases its aroma.
  2. Stir in 1 tbsp sesame oil and the sliced mushrooms. Continue to cook until mushrooms turn a light golden brown.
  3. Mix in sriracha sauce, rice vinegar, dark soy sauce, hoisin sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 2 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Add uncooked Maggi or ramen noodles and 3 cups of water. Increase heat to high and cook until noodles are fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in the sliced spring onions and cook for an additional one minute.
  6. Transfer to serving bowls, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top, and serve hot.
