Method
- Place the black tea bag or loose leaf black tea in a small teapot or French press and set it aside for later use.
- In a small pot, combine the broken cinnamon stick, sliced ginger, whole cloves, and water. Set the pot over medium-high heat and bring to a simmer. Allow it to simmer gently for 3 minutes.
- Pour the hot water and spice mixture over the tea in the teapot or French press. Let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea and spice infusion into a mug. Stir in fresh lemon juice and honey to taste.
- Garnish with a slice of lemon and a cinnamon stick if desired.
