Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups strawberries stems removed, frozen or fresh
  • 1/4 cup sugar of choice
  • 2 tsp lemon juice or zest of 1 lemon
  • pinch of salt optional

Equipment

  • high-speed blender
  • Regular blender
  • Ice cream machine

Method
 

  1. Remove the stems from the strawberries and freeze them if they are not already frozen.
  2. If using a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. If using a regular blender, allow frozen berries to thaw slightly, then blend until combined. Transfer to an ice cream machine and churn until firm.
  4. Serve immediately for a softer texture or freeze for 1-2 hours for firmer consistency. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.
