Prepare the Patties
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Make the Special Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth.
Grill the Burgers
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
Assemble the Burgers
- Spread the special sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
- Top with lettuce, a grilled patty, tomato slices, and pickles. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.
