Prepare the Apples
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and peel the apples, then slice them into thin wedges or fries.
- Toss the apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.
Make the Batter
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually whisk in the milk until the batter is smooth.
Fry the Apple Fries
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Dip each apple slice into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then carefully place in the hot oil.
- Fry the apple slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Add Cinnamon Sugar
- In a small bowl, mix together granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- While the apple fries are still warm, sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over them.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
