Ingredients
Method
Prepare the Marinade
- In a bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce, cornstarch, vegetable oil, and sesame oil. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
Cook the Beef
- Heat a wok over high heat. Add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Stir-Fry the Vegetables
- In the same wok, add a bit more oil if needed. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 30 seconds. Then add broccoli and bell pepper, stir-fry for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
Combine and Finish
- Return the beef to the wok. Add beef broth, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and the cornstarch slurry. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve
- Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes or sliced chili peppers during the stir-fry.
