Ingredients
  

Green Beans
  • 1 pound fresh green beans trimmed
Garlic
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or your favorite cheese
Butter
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Salt and Pepper

Method
 

Prepare the Green Beans
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  2. Drain the green beans in a colander and set aside.
Sauté Garlic
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Combine and Cook
  1. Add the drained green beans to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic butter. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add Cheese
  1. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the green beans. Cover the skillet and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
Serve
  1. Remove from heat and serve warm as a delicious side dish.
