Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
Chocolate Chips
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Cream Butter and Sugars
  1. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
  1. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
  1. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop and Bake
  1. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  2. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
