Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 1 packet active dry yeast about 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1/2 cup milk warm
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling
  • 2 medium ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk adjust for consistency
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Make the Filling
  1. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined.
Assemble the Rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the banana filling evenly over the dough.
  4. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut into 1-inch thick rolls.
  5. Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Prepare the Glaze
  1. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Serve
  1. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
