Method
Prepare the Cake Base
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
- Add the cut croissant pieces to the mixture and let them soak for about 10 minutes.
Bake the Cake
- Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter.
- Pour the croissant mixture into the prepared cake pan.
- Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serve
- Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before removing it from the pan.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
- Slice and enjoy your almond croissant cake warm or at room temperature.
