Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 4 croissants day-old croissants cut into pieces
  • 1 cup milk whole or almond milk
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar granulated
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Almond Topping
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Method
 

Prepare the Cake Base
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until well combined.
  3. Add the cut croissant pieces to the mixture and let them soak for about 10 minutes.
Bake the Cake
  1. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter.
  2. Pour the croissant mixture into the prepared cake pan.
  3. Sprinkle the sliced almonds on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serve
  1. Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before removing it from the pan.
  2. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  3. Slice and enjoy your almond croissant cake warm or at room temperature.
