Delicious homemade calzones filled with cheese and your choice of toppings, cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water about 110°F
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
Filling
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni or other desired toppings
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
  • 1 cup marinara sauce for dipping

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Filling
  1. In a bowl, mix together mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
Assemble the Calzones
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Cut the dough into circles (about 6 inches in diameter). Place a generous amount of filling on one half of each circle, then fold the other half over and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
Cook the Calzones
  1. Place the calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
