Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and salt. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Filling
- In a bowl, mix together mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning until well combined.
Assemble the Calzones
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut the dough into circles (about 6 inches in diameter). Place a generous amount of filling on one half of each circle, then fold the other half over and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
Cook the Calzones
- Place the calzones in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them. Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
