  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/3 cup hot pepper jelly

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Mix in shredded cheddar cheese until fully combined.
  3. Add flour, salt, and garlic powder; mix until a dough forms.
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Create thumbprints in the center of each ball.
  8. Fill each thumbprint with 1/2 teaspoon of hot pepper jelly.
