  • 8 oz brick-style cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Quick oats for the topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Prepare the crisp topping by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until crumbly; set aside.
  3. Toss diced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream butter with sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and milk. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients.
  5. Beat cream cheese with granulated sugar, flour, vanilla extract, egg, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  6. Layer half the bread batter into the pan followed by half the cheesecake mixture and half the apple filling; repeat layers. Top with crisp mixture.
  7. Bake for about 60 minutes or until golden brown; check doneness with a toothpick.
